The first thing I heard was the sound of the alarm clock beating against my ear drums. Within minutes, the cell phone blasted it's music notes and I burrowed beneath the covers anticipating a lamp that would now be flipped on and the assault from it.
I'm sleepin here folks. Can we cut the noise, the chatter and the lights?
Oh wait. I forgot. I'm on vacation but he is not. This is work and it's part of the job.
The husband answered the call and was off to location soon after the alarm and the phone call. Thinking I would go back to sleep for a few hours, I doused the lights. No go. I'm awake and I think it will be for the remainder of this day.
I'm off to the coffee shop for my caffeine. I'll shower and dress soon and grab my camera, cell and GPS and be on my way to Austin. This will be a lazy day of wandering. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday then in a city where I have never been; a city to discover. I'm pumped!
